Cargill beat- River Tay- 2 Summer fish on upper beat
Cargill beat- River Tay There were 2 summer fish caught today, both came on the harl. The morning saw one hooked and lost and a nice little Tay pike. The afternoon was much more productive with 2 landed by Jamie Parrot and another 6 hooked and lost. After 4pm a good run started to show and in that time most of the fish were hooked. They were slashing at flies and tobies and when we started harling they were jumping over the lines. Good to see such good numbers of running fish.

Cargill Beat- River Tay Weekly report
Cargill Beat- River Tay. This week we enjoyed nice and settled water conditions with only small rises throughout the week, this kept conditions excellent for the fly. Fish were caught everyday with Saturday ending up the most productive with 4 caught. There are plenty of fish running through the beat every day with signs that they are starting to slow down giving us an even better shot at capturing them. Again all the fish caught this week were in fantastic condition and most were hanging with sea lice. There is more summer salmon running now and they are puting up a serious scrap in the clear water. There are fish getting caught on the fly every day right now so take advantage of these summer conditions and capture a Tay salmon.
